Kids love the new boxing summer scheme

From the 30th july until the 3rd August Birmingham held its first 'Summer Scheme' at new club Rectory Falcons ABC. This scheme was run in conjunction with BCC's 'Strikes' football schemes and the kids (aged 10-13) swapped between games and learning the skills of boxing in the gym, and being coached football outside. The kids loved it and many of them showed a keen interest to continue their boxing at local clubs in the new season-after their mums have given the OK of course!!!

As Development Officer in Birmingham I have taken the opportunity to start a Birmingham representative side. In May we got the opportunity to travel to Cyprus and train with their national side. Attached are some photo's and the report that appeared in the 'Boxing News'.

The Cypriot team come to Birmingham in December for a show against the Birmingham Boxing Team and also one against a Midland Select.
